Secret Seeds

Our simple guide to importing seeds into the USA
Dear USA Gardeners,
Up until
recently it has been a difficult and expensive process to legally import seeds
from outside of the United States of America.
However, all that has now changed - recently the USA Department of Agriculture,
Animal And Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has introducted a system
called "Small Lots of Seed Permit". This permit allows the the import
of small non-commerical amounts of garden plant seed, provided they do not fall
into the category of invasive or noxious weed species (article 7 CFR 319.37-2).
What do you have to do?
1) Download an application form from: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/plant_health/permits/downloads/forms/ppqform587.pdf
2) Complete the application form (see notes below) and send for your permit (you'll also receive separate green/yellow address labels from APHIS).
3) Order your seeds on our website.
4) Post us one white permit and one green/yellow label.
What happens next?
When we get both the internet order and permit we will dispatch your order to the appropriate APHIS office in the US. They then check it and forward it to your home address (normally within 2-3 weeks).
Hopefully - it's as simple as that!
We thank you and wish you well in growing our seeds.
