Mushrooms
Mr Fothergill's new range of mushroom growing kits offers an easy way for the home gardener to cultivate these delicious, attractive and flavoursome fungi. In the supermarkets the more exotic mushroom varieties can be very expensive, and growing your own (like all home garden production) offers an excellent way to save money.
The Garden House
The Garden House at Buckland Monachorum, near Plymouth is regarded by many, as one of the country's most inovative gardens.
Head gardener Matt Bishop, has given us access to seed of many of their best loved plants.
Alpines
You don't have to have special alpine beds to appreciate and grow these plants - free draining containers, or poor soils are often all that's needed!
